Modern Healthcare is seeking nominations for the 100 Most Influential People Awards, now in its 22nd year.

The 100 Most Influential People in healthcare awards and recognition program honors individuals in healthcare who are deemed by their peers and the senior editors of Modern Healthcare to be the most influential individuals in the industry, in terms of leadership and impact. This program allows for readers to vote for their top choices and selected honorees will be published in Modern Healthcare's annual ranking.

Entries are accepted from all sectors of the healthcare industry for senior-level executives; high-level government administrators and executives; elected officials; academics and thought-leaders.

Key Dates & Deadlines

June 5, 2023 - Nominations Open
August 14, 2023 - Nominations close at 11:59 PM PT
August 28 - September 18, 2023 - Reader voting period
December 2, 2023 - Honorees published online
December 4, 2023 - Honorees published in MH magazine

Process

To submit a nomination, complete the online application which consists of three business-related questions.

1. Describe specific actions the nominee took this year to help the organization meet clinical, operational and financial goals, and the measurable results that were achieved.

2. Describe specific steps the nominee has taken to improve the organization’s culture, particularly regarding the workforce and its sense of belonging along with diversity, equity and inclusion efforts.

3. Describe specific actions the nominee has taken outside of the organization to be a leading voice in the industry, including efforts to effect change at a local or national level that benefit patients and communities.  

A ballot comprising 300 names will be posted for voting shortly after the nomination period closes. Modern Healthcare’s senior editors will make final determinations on the ballot. Judging for the final ranking of the 100 Most Influential People will be based on readers’ votes as well as input from the senior editors of Modern Healthcare.

Nominees, or their employers, may notify employees, colleagues and others in their social networks of inclusion on the list and provide voting deadlines or similar details. However, to maintain the integrity and fairness of the program for all nominees, we do not condone any efforts to circumvent our voting process.

Required Materials/Documentation

A current resume and head shot is required for submission in addition to answering the three business-related questions. Supporting documents are not required, however they are encouraged to be submitted. Up to 5 supporting documents may be uploaded to the online application. Supporting documents may consist of letters of recommendation, articles in which the nominee has been featured, etc.

How much does it cost to nominate?

The nomination fee is $150. You may nominate multiple individuals, but each must be a separate entry with its own nomination fee. Payment does not guarantee inclusion as an honoree.
